A study of the physical properties and bending stiffness of antistatic and antibacterial knitted fabrics

Different fiber blends, knit patterns, and treatments may be applied to increase the functionality comfort of knitted fabrics. In this research, physical properties bending stiffness 1 × rib half-milano fabrics with four blends (90% cotton/10% antistatic PET, 80% cotton/20% 70% cotton/30% 65% cotton/35% PET) each pattern were studied. The effect fabric direction (course wale), technical side (face back side), treatment (dying, softening Aquasoft® SI hydrophilic softener, Polygiene VO-600 antibacterial finish) on characteristics was evaluated. results revealed that dyeing increased area density both wale course densities decreased thicknesses compared control finish softened samples did not change properties.
